Jai Alakh! |
 Sadguru Shree Vikasananda

Jai Alakh! |

Object of Spiritual Practice |
The object of spiritual sadhana is to attain fearlessness and love. How can a sadhak achieve fearlessness and love, if he is afraid of the world and hates that which is different from him? |
|
Devotion |
Devotion is a personal realization of impersonal reality; It is beyond cast and creed. It is common to all mankind . It is unique and universal among all the ralisation of the world. It covers different affirmations of the truth.
Devotion means ‘Love-Ambrosia’ that transcends all the pairs of duality and proceeds towards a non dual experience of reality. Devotion is the same state of mind towards all created beings. The end of devotion is God ralisation through Human Love only.
|
| |
Truth |
• In practical lifewe are not concerned about the essence of objects, but only their meanings for us, and what is accepted majority can not be the standard of truth.
• Truth can not be ready made article and can not be handed from one man to another. This the individual that ralised it
|
Law of Karma |
• Every saint has got sinner’s past and every sinner has got bright future.
• A man like skillfull ironsmith, moulds is destiny, and, if on the right path, is loosened from the bondage of karma.
There is no scope to chance in this. No chitrgupta writes, what you will be, you are your own chitragupta,
the moulder of your destiny.
Then by and by the flow of kriya (action) is natural and in tune with the lord’s wishes . It can then, be classed as akarma.
It does not bind the Jiva. • Having done the task, stand aside let the work’s own karma float it, as it will drown the stream of time.
After having completed the tasklet the motto be ‘Hands off’. The perfection of work in which should be the goal • Where there is cause there must be effect. Where there is an effect there must be a cause. Nothing is free from the law of karma |
Faith |
If you faithfully perform certain physical exercise, your muscles will begin to develop and you will feel the generation of strength in your body. In exactly same way, if you faithfully perform certain psychic (not mental) actions, you will notice your mental (not physical) nerves gaining vitality and experience an upsurge of spiritual power within you. The human psyche is the repository of infinite power, but unfortunately most men don’t know how to tap this reservoir of power. For this man need guidance from master. There is no duality or difference between the master and the divine power, which the former repository in physical human form.

Sanctity & Bramha-Jnana |
We can not cut open the womb of the would-be mother, just to find out how the child is growing . It should be enough for us that she says it is there and that it is growing. This is what is meant by sanctity. By developing our psychical perception to the highest extent, all the knowledge that really need will will become accessible to us without such monkeying about. And, infact, self-knowledge is is cosmic knowledge. There is no duality between atmajnana and bramha-jnana.
|
True Sadhak |
In the search for atma-jnana the Sadhak is the main ingrediant in experiment . If the atma alone is real and if it beyond the phenomena of relativity known to the senses, the seeker must withdraw from sense experience and transform his entire life and ways to adjust himself to his experience. That is why he is called Sadhaka or one who terns this knowledge in self experience by identifying himself with that which is real.
Unless the seeker arrives at the point where this self–knowledge becomes for him the very breath of life without which he cannot survive, the real meaning and inner significance content in the words and phrases do not convey themselves to him. Call this a psychological peculiarity or called it an occult or esoteric experience, but when the Sadhaka arrives at this pitch of intensity and is filled with the desperate urge to know, the sacred and mystic books reveal themselves to him spontaneously and the Divine Power speaks out it’s heart to him. Like resonance in Sonics, at this pitch the Truth vibrates in a language which is wordless but which goes directly to his heart and uproots from his mind all the doubts and difficulties which obstruct his perception of reality. Mere longing or craving is not enough; what is needed is an urge which is so desperate that either it must be fulfilled or the ‘Sadhaka’ cannot live a moment longer.
Make yourself as determined as Dhruva and develop the urge of Eklavya and then God himself will lead you on your way, if no one else does. that is the most sacred truth about Sadhana.

Pranayam & consciousness |
The sadhak has to change the horizontal revolutionary movement of his consciousness into rotating movement of the vertical plane and thence he has to ascend the vertical spiral which will eject him beyond sense gravitation into the dynamic consciousness of pure being. The motive power needed for the spiral ascent is built up in the vacuum of the psychical plane. On the horizontal sensory plane , the world of sensory phenomena is perceived as the reality. The rate of vibration of the physical energies in the body and the rhythm of the pulsation of the breath or life-force are the key which determines the appearance of grossness and the revelation of the subtle truths in the world around us. The function of Pranayama ( breath-control) and recitation of bij-mantra ( the dynamic incanation received at intiation from the master) is to fix this rate and rhythm into the desired key to change the movement from horizontal to vertical. Nam-sadhna, Nam-sankirtana and Bhajan ( reciting the lord’s name, devotion and prayer)also serve the same purpose. All these means set up in the body and the mind of sadhak impulses of energy which generate power for the vertical lift .Once the movement becomes rotatory in the vertical plane, the spell of self perception diminishes and the impulses set up in the body and mind begin to build a vaccumatic pressure in the psychical consciousness.
The horizontal movement of consciouness can not directly change into the vertical spiral of ascension . The pull of the senses is too strong to permit immediate change-over. The taachment to the senses and the samskar of the reality of sensory experience accumleted over a long time in many births, have to be jettisoned before the sadhak can rise vertically into the astral consciousness. The body cells have to be refined and impurities expelled from the vital systems and nerve–centres, to make the attuning to the new key possible. This work can not be done at the level of the sensory consciousness, and so, it is accomplished by the master form the higher level of physical and astral consciousness, without making the sadhak mentally conscious about it. All this can not be achieved or experienced by reading books or by scholarship in the Shastras. The key to the vibratory rate and the pulsating rhythem is not on the level of sensory consciousness and so it is not available to the sadhak himself, the master, who functions simultaneously at all the levels, is in possession of the key to every individual who is in his charge for transcendace and it is only he who has the inside knowledge and power to bring about the change from he horizontal to the vertical and the ascending spiral.

Meditation |
It is the flow of that divine unknown force and power which made me write and will take you in a deep thinking towards your life aspect. To know a unknown, who is known in the self and self knows the both (Known and unknown). “The spiritual consciousness dawns in these silent. Sacred hopurs. The soul is closed to its source.”
|
Sadhana (Spiritual Practice) |
• Spiritual practice means to keep the mind steady at his lotus feet and to be absorbed in his thoughts .Never be intimate with any man not even with your father and mother, what to speak of others then. Let me again repeat. Don’t be intimate with any man, even if God comes to you in that form.
• Sadhana is essentially a mental process of revealation and realization through perfection in adjustment odf the individual consciousness or “I” with the rest of the world. Rejection of any portion of the world or withdrwl from it for so called peaceful meditation is a grave error as it discloses incapacity in the sadhak to adjust himself with that particular portion of the world.. The key note in isolation should be : “I am for the world but, the world is not for me.” When all expectation from the world ceases, attachment and consequent pain automatically cease.
• The spiritual life of an individual is the vital effort of all his past to develop and reach supreme transcendence into the One Absolute. The maintenance of the line of individuality is the primary purpose of all sadhana, because through this unique individual ‘way’life is seeking to fulfill its purpose in bringing that particular ‘I’into existence in the world.
• It I for this reason that there is no universal method, no mass production technique or steamroller process of sadhana. Each individual in his own time , and in his own way, is the rule on this road.No matter how grat a past sadhak, and how sound the programme followed by him, it will no carry any other sadhak very far.It was a specially designed to meet the peculiar requirements of that particular individual consciousness and with the transcendence of that “I” its utility came to an end. For the “I” that comes next after it , an all together new method and technique will have to be perfected, keeping in view the “way” in which the transcending reality has manifested itself in this particular center and the ground that has been already covered.
|
Role of Master |
This explains the supreme need for one who knows the inner fabric of each individual consciousness and can decide the treatment right for each “I”. The master, by using his spiritual insight, assesses each individual for purposes of of transcendence and prescribes the method which ensures the maximum economy in the time and effort.Ther is, as a rule, no discrimination on the grounds of merit or ability or any such extraneous reasons. The purpose of the Master is the same as the purpose of the life-force, and this is common to all creation, the master has no individual motive outside this central purpose of creation.
|
Guru Worship |
First the physical presence is required then comes the worship of the person of Guru. The next step is going even beyond the physical presence and worship of the Guru. For the Guru teaches that the body is not the soul
“Giving material prosperity is none of his aim”
“He may be kind enough to hear request from disciples for material benefits, but it is wasting his time and making ourselves live in fools paradises”
|
Spiritual Guidance |
Be righteous in thine own eyes, then others may say what they will.thou take no heed. seek no advice; follow thine own higher inclination. Only experience can teach thee. Waste not thy time in idle speech. Each is guided by his own experience. Therefore who can advice another? Depend on thyself in all ways. Look to thyself for guidance, not to another.
|
Isolation |
It must be clearly understood that isolation is to be achieved by mental analysis and elimination and not by physical seclusion and rejection or avoidance. The fruit of the tree is always isolated from the branches and the leaves, but it is not physically detached from the tree as a whole. It isolates itself only for purposes of its function of growth and to maintain the purity of its being.
|
Understanding |
Now the people realize that they do not understand a thing, they try to find out a ‘name’ for what they do not understand . After finding out the name they feel that they understood. Name does not mean to understand.
